For those of you with freq BH

.... have they been getting more uncomfortable for you?

My OB told me about how his wife went into labor randomly with her first at 35 weeks, before ever getting an internal exam, blah blah blah..... and now every time I have a BH I'm paranoid its the real thing.

I wouldn't say they are painful, but there is more of a twinge-y sensation down low by my bladder (cervix?). Have your BH changed & what are they feeling like lately?

  • Mine are getting much more uncomfortable...kind of a tightening starting in my upper abdomen and then moving down.  Sometimes they wake me up at night, and I often feel a little nauseated with them.  My mom had them the same way.  They're still irregular, though, so I'm trying not to read too much into it!

    Same here! Especially at night.

Maybe I'm just so tired of being pregnant that I'm hoping these BH turn into the real deal.

  • I have those sharp pains with them too, close to my bladder, maybe my cervix.  They're so painful that they'll keep me up at night, but I never think they're the real thing bc my friend said I'd feel them in my actual vagina - like it's opening up.  I know every pregnancy is different, but I think the real thing will be way more painful.

  • I have been having preterm labor contractions since 33 weeks and have been dilated at at 3 for a couple weeks now. I was told not to worry until they become more consistent and painful. At this point, they feel more like an irritating burning/tightening, nothing unmanageable.

  • I was told that until they incapacitate you, that they aren't strong enough to be doing anything by L&D and my OB.

  • I am feeling them lower down now and they are a bit more uncomfortable. Since I am past the point of where they would stop my labor, I just start keeping track if I have a lot of them. Yesterday, I had about 7 in one hour but they were sporatic and didn't last more than about 45 sec. They just disappeared so I am sure I just needed some rest. Keep track of them if you feel like you are having a lot so you know when it's best to call your dr.
