So I'm sitting at my desk at work and I get an email from our HR lady. Below is what it said.
Good Morning,
I am happy to report an anonymous employee has ?gifted? some of his PTO to you instead of allowing it to be forfeited. This is ?confidential? as not everyone received the donation. You?ll see the additional PTO on your next paycheck stub.
He said to say ?Merry Christmas from Santa?.
So ? enjoy.
I started to cry so hard at my desk I had to walk outside.
Re: Brake Down at work for good reason!!!
That's awesome!
I'm currently annoyed at my work. I'm getting heat from my boss over when I take my breaks. Not how long I take them, but WHEN I take them.
I got this forwarded to me:
Ivana needs to take a break in the morning between her arrival and lunch.
she also needs to take lunch within 5 hours of starting for the day. On the 29th she went approximately 7 hours before taking lunch.
She shouldn?t be running a break back to back with lunch.
Her last break shouldn?t be used to shorten her day by 15 minutes.
If she started at 7am she should have taken a break between 8:30 - 9:30, gone to lunch by noon, followed by an afternoon break around between 1-2.
FFS already, let me take my break when I feel I'm ready to take one. I also don't do back to back lunch with a break so I don't know where he's getting that. Nor do I take my break at the end of the day to shorten my day. My boss has over 50 people he oversees, why is my break timing even a concern of his? I get my work done and I'm fine so what's the big effing deal?
