1. What is the last movie you watched? Aladdin, yesterday in labor and delivery while being monitored. 2. If you could give one pregnancy symptom to your DH/SO, which would it be? Hmm, that is a tough one but it would have to be the lack of sleep. DH can lay his head down and fall to sleep instantly.3. What is your favorite ice cream flavor? A tie between Blue Bell Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Ben and Jerry's Chunky Monkey4. Updates & ventsFirst time posting since I am now on modified bed rest for at least one week. I will be 28 weeks on Thursday and went in for a routine check-up yesterday. What I thought I was braxton hicks turned out to be the real thing and I my cervix is thinning and I am fingertip dilated. So I was shipped off to labor and delivery and after two shots of something that starts with a "t" the contractions lessened to 2 an hour and I was shipped home. Glad there is this board because being on bed rest even the modified they gave me (no shopping, driving, I can shower and cook/sew) is going to be tough.

Good morning! Hope everyone with appts. today does well and yay for those with recent good appts. Welcome to those who are new. 1. I watched 27 Dresses at home on bedrest. It was free On-Demand.

2. The insomnia I've had in 2nd and 3rd tri! Hate it and DH sleeps so soundly and falls asleep quickly. So jealous! 3. Love Cookies 'N Cream ice cream. 4. I made it to 31 weeks today!! Still in the hospital. MFM seems to think LO's growth rate will have declined even more by Monday's growth scan. Declined growth rate, coupled with low amniotic fluid levels, Type 1 diabetes, chronic high BP equals looking at delivery between 32-34 weeks. MFM is worried about stillbirth in my situation. So LO will probably be here in next 1-3 weeks.

Thanks for the welcome

1. What is the last movie you watched? The Lovely Bones, but I just put on Jane Eyre... my first of three for the day

2. If you could give one pregnancy symptom to your DH/SO, which would it be? When baby girl butts me in the ribs... yikes! Even with the high risk problems (which have caused more annoyance than anything else), I can't complain at all.

3. What is your favorite ice cream flavor? Mint chocolate chip. Oh I miss ice cream.

4. Updates & vents Nothing to update here. Although I think I've started having pain with my contractions now (but very, very irregular and more uncomfortable than anything), and I think she's dropped because my boobs aren't resting on my belly anymore. Both of which I've heard are semi-normal for 33 weeks. And, they make me happy because I'm hoping that if I have to be induced, my body is already preparing Trying to find positives!

Heartburn. It wakes me up in the middle of the night now.

We celebrated the first night of Hanukkah last night, and my husband bought the baby a gift - little black velvet slippers with skulls on them. Ridiculous and hilarious and adorable!

The Help with my family before they headed back home this past Monday.

2. If you could give one pregnancy symptom to your DH/SO, which would it be?

Contractions lol...that way he wouldn't constantly be asking me if I was SURE if it was a contraction or the baby moving

3. What is your favorite ice cream flavor?

Chocolate chip cookie dough! I am not a huge ice cream eater, but that is my go to flavor if we go out.

4. Updates & vents Actually in a good mood today. Contractions got regular and painful again last night and my meds actually worked so I didn't have to go to the hospital. And I slept three hours in a row! Its the little things

LOL..."on the other side..." It's still painful - my contrax are as strong if not stronger, definitely more crampy, still same amount of Dr's appointments. It's a little weird getting re-assimilated into society after 3 months (and by "society" I mean patrons at BRU & Target...haha) - but I'm starting to feel a little stronger and less fragile so hopefully I will feel more "normal" soon. My husband is actually pushing me to take it easy - he's afraid my water's going to break with every move I make and I guess he's still not ready...?? Go figure! Now, keep that LO cooking!!

Happy Wednesday ladies!! Another half week done. Today is my last day on bed rest!! Woohoo! I just want to thank you all for making me feel welcome for these last three weeks. I hope your LOs keep cooking and are born healthy and happy.

1. What is the last movie you watched?
- I'm watching Legends of the Fall right now. It was supposed to be Sleepless in Seattle, but apparently the guide was wrong, and since I've never seen it before I figured, why not?

2. If you could give one pregnancy symptom to your DH/SO, which would it be?
- I don't think I would give him any. He's been way too sweet and helpful for me to wish any of the annoying symptoms on him, and while I would love to see his expression if he could feel LO like I can, I am too selfish to share that. If I had to give him one, I think maybe the super smelling powers.

3. What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
- I'm allergic to dairy, so I don't get real ice cream anymore. When I did, I loved Ben and Jerry's Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, or Haagen Daaz Chocolate Chocolate Chip. Now, I like Peanut Butter ZigZag from Soy Delicious.

4. Updates & vents
- I'm really excited to be off bed rest tomorrow. And my mom decided to hire a maid service for me for three hours tomorrow so that I don't overdo it and clean too much.

1. What is the last movie you watched? My Best Friend's Girl

2. If you could give one pregnancy symptom to your DH/SO, which would it be? The need to get up and pee a few times a night. However, he already does that as well!

3. What is your favorite ice cream flavor? Chocolate

4. Updates & vents Took my 3 hour glucose test this morning. Other than feeling like a human pincushion, I think it went well. Maybe I'm being naive or too hopeful? My fasting blood sugar was a nice low 55, so I'm hoping I pass this time!

1. What is the last movie you watched? Hangover II yesterday and just finished Planet of the apes (the latest one) DH loves movies so we've been watching one everyday while he is on vacation

2. If you could give one pregnancy symptom to your DH/SO, which would it be? All the kicks and contractions.

3. What is your favorite ice cream flavor? Blue Bell Vanilla, very boring but yummy!

I have been lurking here since last week when I was put on bed rest for some pre-term contractions and shortened cervix (1.5cm). Sorry I never officially introduced myself, but here I am. I have had an incredibly wonderful pregnancy so far. I really wanted/want a natural birth at a birth center (which is where I have received all of my prenatal care) and my hope is that I can make it these 20 days until I am 37 weeks and then I will hopefully be allowed to transfer back to my birth center.

1. What is the last movie you watched? I finally watched The Hangover the other day, which my friend brought over for me to watch to pass the time.

2. If you could give one pregnancy symptom to your DH/SO, which would it be? He can have the discomfort of not being able to roll over in bed. He sleeps like a rock and I toss and turn very slowly all night.

3. What is your favorite ice cream flavor? Probably vanilla but I also love mint chocolate chip and cookies and cream.

4. Updates & vents: I have my official first appointment/transfer of care on Friday with Maternal Fetal Medicine. I am really hoping my cervix has not changed too much. I would hate to be readmitted right before Christmas!

I have been lurking here since I was put on bedrest last week for PTL and a shortening cervix (1.4cm) Sorry I never officially introduced myself, but I also have a 10 month old so its not always easy to be a "regular" poster, however as things seem to be progressing it is looking more and more like I will end up on hospital bedrest after this week I'm just hoping to make it through christmas since it is DS first christmas and it would break my heart to miss it.

1. What is the last movie you watched? Friends With Benefits (when it was in theatres) I'm sure that will change though as my bedrest becomes more permanent.

2. If you could give one pregnancy symptom to your DH/SO, which would it be? He could have my contractions (on procardia and still contracting every 3-5)

3. What is your favorite ice cream flavor? I'm a HUGE cold stone creamery fan...particularly the cake batter flavor. In regular ice cream I like rocky road.

4. Updates & vents: I have an appt tomorrow with the MFM, they will do another cervical length and check to see if Ive dilated any further. At my last appt I had lost length and the beaking/funneling had gotten worse. I dont expect the length to be any better but if it can at least remain stable maybe I wont have to be admitted over christmas.

Hi! I'm fairly new here and to bed rest... I've been on it for about 2 weeks now after I started having contractions and my cervix shortened to 1.5cm. I've been kinda lurking around reading all the posts and since the MFM filled out my long-term disability papers for my job at the last appt. I guess I'm going to be on bed rest til my baby is born.

1. What is the last movie you watched? The last half of Men in Black.

2. If you could give one pregnancy symptom to your DH/SO, which would it be? I think I would have to give him some of the kicks. Don't get me wrong, I love feeling my baby girl move, but he is so grossed out by it. I just want him to feel her move just once...

3. What is your favorite ice cream flavor? I love Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough! Yum!

4. Updates & vents

I'm new so I don't really have any updates... I'm happy that my next MFM appt is after Christmas so at least I wont have to spend it in the Hospital. I know that there are women on here who are in the hospital for the holidays and my heart goes out to you guys. I know it must be hard. I'm kinda sad because the only people who have come to visit me is my Mom and my sister... None of my friends that said they would stop by ever followed through and even some of my own family hasn't come by! It kinda sucks... But my baby girl is healthy and happy so that's all that matters to me!

DH and I watched The Help on the weekend. I liked it, although I prefered the book.

2. If you could give one pregnancy symptom to your DH/SO, which would it be?

Just the general discomfort. I can't wait to have them out!

3. What is your favorite ice cream flavor?

I like just about all flavours, although cotton candy is my absolute favourite!

4. Updates & vents

I got to see my OB today, and the appointment went pretty well. The doctor doesn't think I'll make it to 38 weeks which is a releif to me! My ultrasound showed their growth is starting to taper off a bit. My fingers are crossed they make it to 5lbs each.
