1st Ear Infection :(

DD got her 1st ear infection and was wondering how long they lasted or how long it will bother her. She was up all night and assuming it was because she couldn't get comfortable because it hurt. We got medicine and are traveling for the next 2 weeks so hoping it gets better quickly.

Any suggestions on how to make the healing go faster?

Re: 1st Ear Infection :(

  • if she is on an antibiotic...my dd recovered fast with it. a few days and it got a lot better.  Also gave her ibprofen or tylenol. DD has had 8 ear infections since she was born....Her last one was in August. praying we are on a long streak of no ear infections

  • once they are on antibiotics for 24-48 hours my girls are like brand new...so hopefully she will be feeling better soon!
  • The pedi noticed DD had a small ear infection when we took her in for her 2 year well visit. The first round of antibiotics did nothing, and we're currently on the second round of a stronger medicine. This is the first time she's been sick. :( So, I guess we've been dealing with this for about a month. I don't think that's the norm though--hopefully your DD is better much quicker!
