baby has short arms and legs...

I'm not sure what this means yet. I'm waiting on a call from my OB.

At my last appointment, I measured only 32 weeks even though I'm 37, so they sent me in for a growth US. The baby's measurements are good except for the arms & legs are measuring short. I don't know what to think. Anyone know? Will my baby just be short? I have some short genetics in the family, so that's possible.

Just needed to let this out... trying to not to worry...

If you have shorter ppl in your family, that may just be it. I try to tell myself that if there are growth problems, they should have picked up on any big issues by the anatomy scan. I hope everything is ok. Hang in there.

I hope everything is okay. I understand how you feel, only my growth u/s is the opposite. My baby has long legs and a large head, but his abd. circumfrence is too small. Good luck.

This was my thought as well. I was a fairly short baby and am now 5'9"!

My baby has been measuring small at every ultrasound, especially her legs, but shes been about a week or two behind. When I talked to my midwife she said that she wasn't too concerned because my husband and I are both on the short side (5'0 and 5'7) but she would be concerned if we were tall people or if there were any problems with the heartbeat or the head size. Was this your first ultrasound? What were your past ultrasounds like if you've had any?

Don't WORRY!! My LO is measuring 2 weeks ahead on his head, 2 weeks behind on legs and arms and right on for his belly..... just like weight can be wrong, so can measurments....Also, both DH and I are shorter in our legs and have a long torso.... so baby is prob just like us:) (and I am 5'9 and DH 6'1)They also prob hit growth spurts at diff times, Don't stress, your LO will be perfect....as will ours!
