My mom recently gave me the very cool gift of the journal/baby book she kept for me when I was tiny. In it she talks about:
-EBF-ing and then extended nursing me, (until I was 2.5) despite getting flack from her mom, MIL and pedi.
-Putting the mattress on the floor and separate quilts for her and my dad in order to safely bedshare with me.
-Wearing me in a woven wrap to the grocery store and out for walks
-Ignoring the pedi's advice to let me CIO
I'd always known she did sone if these things but I wasn't aware of the details. It's been such fun reading about her journey as a mom, and finding out how similar our patenting styles are. Makes me love her even more. Thanks for letting me share

Re: AW: My baby book and my mom's AP style
Aw, that's so nice! It's very cool you have that journal to read now.
I probably wouldn't have gotten it when I was younger, but now I appreciate the AP techniques my mom used when I was a baby.

That is so cool!
Your mom totally rocks, by the way - if people give us crap today, just imagine how it was back in her time.
