Hi ladies, I'm feeling a little like a crazy person. I'm only 4 weeks along and I'm feeling everything, nauseous, exhausted, irritable, horrible lig pains, did i mention exhausted!! Reason I'm asking here is every thing I read seems to say pg symptoms don't start until around 6 weeks. Did you feel this stuff earlier bc you had multiples... or am I just literally going crazy. I did have IVF and we transfered 3 3d embryos and they gave us a 50% of multiples if it did work. I'm not going to lie I hope I get to join this board in a couple weeks :)TIA
Re: early pregnancy ?s from a lurker
From another multiples IVFer - I sure hope it means that you are KU!
Listen, symptoms mean nothing. Most of which could also be caused by the progestrone support you are on. I *think* I'm sicker this go around than I was when I had the twins, but I really can't remember if it's true or if it's because I have two toddlers now.
Good luck and hope you get a bfp this week!
(Of course, there is always the POAS option if you don't think you can hold out until beta).
4 Fresh IVF cycles + 1 FET where embies didn't survive the thaw = 2 perfect little men!
sFET 11/9/11 - Beta 11/18 BFP!
ive been testing positive on the pee sticks since last friday. i know the pio can cause a lot of symptoms but ive never felt quite like this. i know im probably being hyper sensative to everything too. would def be excitted for a two for one deal
You never felt like this because you've never been pregnant before. Silly!
So here's the thing, please do not ever ever come here and call our kids a "2Fer" like something I got off the clearance rack. If you weren't in this special terrible club of multiple failed IVFers, I would be flaming the sh&t out of you right now. Twins and trips are no walk in the park, whether it be pregnancy, infancy, or toddlerhood.
Listen, I get it. I stood where you are standing now. You feel like twins would be a nice consolation prize for all the sh&t you had to deal with. I felt the same way. I was so blessed to have 2 take home babies, but having twinsand raising twins was/is still the hardest thing I've ever done. I cannot imagine the heartache of seeing your babies in the NICU.
Anyways, I'm babbling. Congratulations on your BFP, try to enjoy being pregnant (if possible) and here's to ONE happy healthy baby.
P.S. Beta numbers do not mean multiples either, you would have to wait until the ultrasound.

Dito everything she said....you are L U C K Y. Most people who post like you did get flamed to high h3ll. Congrats on your BFP and be careful what you wish for. Good luck!
Hope you get a +, and I didn't have any different symptoms with this twin pregnancy than any of my previous ones until I got to about 7 weeks. Then I had my first bit of nausea (which I also had with my first loss which was a single pregnancy). Everyone's pregnancy is different, and I usually felt something by about 4 weeks, which was way worse by 6 weeks.
Good luck!
(No IVF experience, but) I had the exact same symptoms with these twins as I did with DS--nausea starting 8 DPO and daily vomiting shortly thereafter. If anything, my symptoms have been a tiny bit better this go-round, but I've heard that's common for second pregnancies.
Good luck.
Or three? or four?

Good luck with your pregnancy. I had more symptoms with my singelton pregnancy than my twin one, so I can't say that your symptoms are related to the number of babies you may have. I have not been in your shoes, but I wish you an easy pregnancy and one healthy baby, the same thing I would wish for any of my friends!
Congrats on your BFP from one IVFer another! And ditto to what everyone else said about symptoms, etc. Good luck girl!
I also did IFV and I thought that there was no way that both of our emby's took because of my low, singleton betas. However, it seems as though we had an egg split giving us two little beans same placenta, seperate sacs...mon/di twins. So, in reality, we could have ended up with 3-4 babies if the other emby stayed around and/or decided to split. I prayed for God not to give us anymore than we can handle, and I guess the answer was we're fit for twins.
Congrats on your BFP and I wish you the best of luck. Whatever the outcome, you'll have wild ride ahead!
My symptoms showed up faster with my DD1 than it did with the twins. Had nausea, sore boobs, exhaustion, etc at 4 wks with her and not until 7 or 8 weeks with the twins And with DD2 I had no symptoms at all.
Congrats on your BFP.
Tee hee hee
I had really early symptoms, but I chalked it up to the PIO and estrogen patches. I had dizziness and balance issues just a few days after ET, but I attributed that to flying cross-country, and again, being on all those meds. As it turns out, both our embryos stuck, but there are many reasons why I could have had so many really noticeable symtpoms.
Good luck! I hope your beta goes well.
I went through IVF as well and know it is a hard battle... but like other said twins/triplet/etc are very hard! Lots of love but twice the work (if not more). My "betas" were ridiculously high and the doctor told us he thought we had triplets - however I have a friend who had a singleton and her betas were higher than mine!! I had NO symptoms until 8 weeks when I started having morning sickness that lasted my entire pregnancy. Congrats on your BFP!!! If you do end up here this is an amazing group of women but like others said.. be careful what you wish for!
