Steri strips after staples

How long did you leave them on for? When the staples were removed and the strips were put on, I was told they would come off in theshower. But it's been two weeks and only two have come off. Is there any reason they have to come off, or just leave the others on till they fall off?

    My doc told me to remove them myself if they didn't already fall off by my 2 week checkup (mine didn't--so I just gently peeled them off the night before my 2 week OB appointment).  FYI it didn't hurt to take them off, it actually felt much better!

    I was had the same thing happen.  2 had come off and the rest were still holding strong.  I don't remember when it was but it was probably about 2 weeks post partum when I just pulled the rest of them off.

    I have dissolvable staples and they put steri strips on right away.  I was told I could take them off after 8-10 days.  I took them off today (12 days) and they were still pretty stuck, but my scar is fine.  The staples are still in, too, but my incision is very much closed so I felt fine taking them off.

    I was told let them come off, and if they don't, they removed them at the 2 week incision check.

    If the incision is healed, you can remove them now.

    I took the last two off the morning of my 2 week appt. In my discharge papers, it said to keep them on for 10-14 days.

    mine never completely came off on their own.  Once the tops came off and were only attached below the scar I pulled them off myself.  It was probably 2-3 weeks.

    I left them on until my 2 week PP appointment when my OB took them off. I wasn't going to touch them and they didn't budge anyway.
