Whitehead on nipple?

This is an odd question, but for the past couple of days my left nipple has kind of hurt once I take my bra off at night and last night I looked closely at it and noticed what looks like a small whitehead on the very tip of my nipple!!

Has anyone ever encountered this or know someone who has? Is it a pimple? How can I get rid of it.  Should I call my doctor to take a look at it or is it a simple thing to get rid of?

    It could be a milk blister.  Have you noticed if you have been leaking a little colostrum?  I didn't get these until my LO was here and I was breastfeeding, but sometimes the milk ducts can get blocked and you can get a milk blister that looks like a whitehead.  Gross, but I just popped mine with a needle and was fine.

    I don't believe I'm leaking anything...I'm only 15 weeks along! It's painful! I cannot imagine having this while trying to breastfeed....ouch!

    Just a guess.  I didn't know how far along you were because the ticker didn't show for me the first time, for some reason.  If you were "leaking" you wouldn't necessarily notice it soaking your shirt or anything, you might just notice a tiny bit of crustiness that looks like dry skin.

    I would also suggest a milk blister, try some warm compresses.  Also agree with previous post you may not notice the "leaking" but you could have a little coming out it has happened to me.
