3 crock pots of chilli. (Spicy, regular, white)
Toppings will be kept fairly simple, Fritos, sour cream, cheese, crackers.
Beer bread
Corn bread
Apps are Veggie pizza, spicy cheese/meat balls, spinach and artichoke dip, veggie tray, grape salad.
Cake for dessert.
Drinks? Coffe, what else...just soda and bottled water?
So, too heavy of a meal, too little?
Re: Critique my bday menu
Sounds perfect!!
Maybe make some elbow noodles to put the chili on??
Don't be silly!! Everyone loves pizza! This is the first party that I have hosted that is not a summer bbq, so I wanted to do all the cooking/ prep. I can't tell you how many times Ive had ppl over to burgers/hot dogs, or ordered pizza. SO much easier!!
The one suggestion I'd make is to serve something else fresh or acidic because everything you've listed is hot or creamy or heavy. Though I may just be thinking in my climate, where it's a high of 60 today, a week before Christmas. lol.
Margaritas are fresh AND acidic, just fyi. lol. But I was thinking more along the lines of salsa and chips,
Ok, good point. When I typed all that out it sounded like a heavy meal to me too. Its cold here, and will probably be 30/40 degrees that week if the weather is normal. But, I don't want everyone in a food coma from too much heavy food either. I have 30 jars of salsa I canned, that will be good. Also can't go wrong with margarita's.
1! You didn't get the invite? *akward...* lol
Seriously!
My plan may still change. I was originally going to make stuff. We are doing Christmas breakfast and dinner though, and I am feeling a little overwhelmed, so we decided to order pizza for birthday. I may change my mind closer to the party though.
So since I might be there (Marsam i'm waiting on a time for a prior engagment) I really excited to see the food menu!
Be jealous Bishes!
We are. (at least I am).
Woot woot!
Menu sounds great!
