uppa baby stroller anyone?

hi- so we currently have (and have had) the uppa baby stroller for 2 1/2 years.  so far it's been great and i really like it.  i believe it is the 2009 or 2010 model.

i read quite awhile ago, that there is an attachment that can be bought for another seat but i dont know anything about it....i was wondering if anyone had any experience with this?  im not talking about the bassinet that it comes with.  but there is something else that you can buy that provides another seat.  if anyone has any experience i would appreciate it : )

  • You mean the Rumble seat?

I'm not a fan.  I think it looks crampled and uncomfortable.  If you were going for that style of stroller, I would suggest looking at the BJCS (and sell your uppababy).

Personally I'm not a fan of tandem strollers all together (but I can kinda live with the BJCS), I like my SBS!

  • there's a small seat that can be attached or a rider board. I've seen both in use but haven't personally used them. We grabbed an uppa baby vista on great deal before we knew it was twins so now I have to sell it. I have the g-lite we used with my daughter after she was a year and swore by it. If only they made a double stroller for twins (I think the second seat is for older kids or at least six months).

it should have a decent resale value- check craigslist and see what others are selling it for.

the uppa baby is not good for twins b/c the seats don't both recline, etc.

the BJCS is for sure the best tandem for twins if you ask me. I have owned a few strollers, and it's my favorite of them all.

it's nice to have a SBS and a tandem, so you have options depending on where you are going.  CL is a great spot to buy strollers if you can't afford them new or want something that is out of your price range.

I used to be Goldie_locks_5 but the new nest is so screwed up that I was forced to start over.

okay im dumb....what do the stroller abbreviations stand for? ...and i dont mind buying them new - in fact i would prefer a new one, i just dont know which one to buy obviously and im sad that the Uppa isnt going to work bc i loved it.

  • I LOVED my 09 Vista, but the Rumble Seat is more for an older child, not a "double" stroller, but more of a "1+" stroller.

When we found out it was twins I bought the Babby Jogger City Select (BJSC) and DH hated it, and I wasn't a fan of all the parts that needed to go on/come off to get in/out of the car. I ended up with the Chicco Cortina Together and it works well enough and snaps our carseats into it easy.

You may get some $$ for the Vista, it's still a nice stroller! GL!
