Newborn Photographer Recommendation?

Can anyone recommend a newborn photographer in the Twin Cities area that isn't going to cost me my life savings? I will pay for good quality but it seems like a lot of them are charging A LOT! Ideally I'd like to get a cd and the rights to print which I know will cost a little extra.

I had researched the ones in the other post and I either didn't like the quality or the price still seemed outrageous.. I delivered at Abbott and they have a service called first day photo and they did an excellent job, they also do milestone pictures, so I'm assuming even if you don't deliver there they can do your pictures. We had about 15 photos that were all excellent with a CD at the time of the shoot (she took about 45 mins after to edit the photos) the cost ended up being $200.00 with full copyright rights.

The girl who did ours was Jessica Person.

I'd highly recommend Gruman Photography or Kristen Elizabeth Photography. Sally did our newborn pictures, was great to work with and we loved the photos we got. Kristen did our 6 month photos and I was super impressed with her patience, suggestions, ideas and the end result as DS cried almost the whole session but the pictures were beautiful!

You have to be careful with First Day because you never know who you will get, but most are professionals : )

I agree, the girl who came by the first day didn't give us the best vibe, that's why I listed the name of the girl who did ours.

Thanks for everyone's suggestions and input! Its so overwhelming to try to weed through the thousands of photographers when you do a google search!
