I just can't find one that fits! So frustrating!!
In Victoria's Secret I have been a 32D, now the 32 nor the D fit I'm just falling out everywhere. So I figured with nursing bras I should go with a 34D. But they just don't fit right, not any of them! Some D cups seem a bit big and the 34 a bit tight which I really don't get b/c I haven't gained that much around and 34 Victoria Secret is just fine. So anyway, I tried different variations, 34C, 34D, 36C etc and nothing is working. I actually found them all very uncomfortable. My next store will be Motherhood, I hope I have more luck there.
Any tips with the sizes and brands if I'm a very full 34D Victorias Secret now?
TIA!
Re: Trouble with nursing bras :(
Thanks ladies!
Yes I was only planning on getting one as I need something for this in between period LOL I was just kind of worried that I can't find anything that really fits, no matter what I tried...
Thanks for your help!
Get fitted at Nordstom or another similar store -- you may have to spend a little more on bras, but it is so worth it to be comfortable and to have proper support for the girls! With dd, I waited to get fitted until after my milk had come in so that I only had to spend the $$$ once.
eta: It could also just be that VS isn't going to fit you correctly no matter what size you try. I used to wear them pre-dd, but I can't ever find one that fits now. Everything just hangs a little differently now.i bought a bravado nursing seamless bra because they came in s, m, l, etc. and supposedly accomodate a few ranges of sizes both cup and band size. I am starting with that and nursing tanks and then seeing what i need after the engorgement phase ends.

I'm usually a 32B and sized up to a medium based on the recommendations on their site. amazon sells them for a little cheaper.
I also had this bra and LOVED it. I agree that finding something in a S/M/L is a great option to start out with (or to buy now). Good luck!
I am also a small band size with large cups. Pre-pg I was a 32DDD. I'm not completely sure what size I am now, I have some 34DDD's that fit pretty well from Nordstroms. I'm waiting out until my milk comes in to get fitted again, since I'm sure my cup size will only go up, and my band size back down again...
I understand how frustrating it is to try to find affordable nursing bras & tanks. I spend like an hour at Target trying every single thing on. Even an XXL didn't have enough material in the boob area to cover my girls, and I was left swimming in the rest of the tank.
I bought a used nursing bra on eBay, it's Bravado, and it's a S++. It's a sleeping type bra, all cotton and no underwire. I don't remember specifics on the sizing, but basically the S++ is for small framed girls with extra large cup sizes. It fits somewhat OK now, but will probably be too tight for me once I'm BF. I plan to keep it tho for wearing right away in the hospital, as well as when I'm weaning Since you're a similar band size, but a cup or so smaller, it would probably be a great fit for you once your supply is established.

Started our exploration into the world of international adoption June 2012. We have no idea what this is going to look like but we are excited to find out!
I'm normally a 40DD to 40DDD so just trying to find regular bras to fit me is difficult, nursing bras are almost impossible! I haven't been able to comfortably wear an underwire bra since August and have been stuck in granny style bras from JC Penney that are *ugly* but comfortable.
I called a local specality bra shop and they recommended to only buy a nursing sleep bra now because once the baby's born and my milk comes in my band size will go down while my cup size will go up. They said I should come in 2 weeks after birth to be measured for nursing bras as this allows for the engorgement phase to pass.
If you absolutely need a bra right now just get an inexpensive one at Target or Walmart, or go to Motherhood and get one or two regular bras and a couple sleep bras (they usually have their bras buy 3 get one free).
And just a note on underwire nursing bras--you need to be very careful when wearing underwire nursing bras because the wires can put pressure on the milk ducts, clogging them and possibly leading to mastitits.
VS bras have never worked for me.
You could try Lane Bryant for regular bras, they usually have larger sizes.
For nursing bras I would recommend finding a local nursing store. My favorite nursing bras & tanks have been Bravado.
I wouldn't buy a bunch yet, because when your milk comes in your size will likely change. Pre-pregnancy I was a 32F. I bought some nursing bras around 20 weeks because I needed new bras and figured I'd get nursing ones to tide me over until I could run out after LO arrives to get new ones. I bought 32 H/I, and those are getting tight and small now.
Bravado is the brand I've been most comfortable in, though I have one that's Anita that I like, too.

I did the exact same thing. I bought two sleep style bras. So comfortable and if they don't fit after, fine. Plus, your cup may grow, but your back measurement may not. My baby is so high that I have gone from a 34D to a 38E. My ribs may shrink down after, and the cups may end up bigger, so I will buy some with more support later.
