birthdate - due date

I want to get a tatoo of Savannah's birthdate and angel wings, but I am not sure which is more appropriate.  I am leaning more toward the day she was born, which was 12-3-11, but she was born at 21 weeks and our due date wasnt until 4-17-12.  Im thinking that due dates are always guesses, and they are rarely the date baby is born, so my thinking is that her atual birthdate of Dec 3 is better to use.  Any thoughts?

    I would do birthdate personally.  I have a memorial tattoo too, it was the best decision I ever made.  The only thing that will go to the grave with me and can't be taken away.

    I am planning mine as we speak.  If I decide to put the date, it will definitely be the day we lost him, not his EDD.

    I agree on the birthdate instead of the due date. My husband and I are getting memorial tattoos at the end of January.

    Is there a medical reason you can't get a tattoo if your pregnant? Just curious cause we have an appointment scheduled already, and we are TTC.

    Birthday!  A due date only represents and estimated guess that encompasses the beginning of hopes and dreams -- it doesn't represent your LO (IMO).  I celebrate Logan's birthday.  I mourn his death day.  His EDD is just one more reminder that he's not here....not a reminder that he lived KWIM?!

    I have a memorial tattoo too.  It's Logan's footprints surrounded by angel wings in the shape of a heart.  The wings look like they're holding/cuddling his feet.  It's on my left ankle.  Best decision ever.  I love it, and I love running my fingers across it knowing that those are his footprints.

    I probably would also choose to do the birth date.
    Mom to Eliott Alexander, born sleeping at 37 weeks on 8/13/10. Most of us only dream of angels - I held one in my arms.

    Definitely her birthdate. I have Ella's feet tattooed on my back, still want to add winds and her bday, but I love it!

    I have to agree with everyone else.  I would put the birthday.  This is the day your baby was born.
