EXACTLY. It can't be any worse then it is now. I did 2 months of getting up every few hours, which changed to every hour and then my girls sleeping in bed with me every night just so I could get some sleep. Even that stopped working.
I wasn't dreading doing it because I was looking for ANYTHING that would help. But to be honest, it really isn't that bad. I thought they would just scream and scream. The first night, I told you took an hour and 1 hr 30 min for them to fall asleep, but they weren't crying the whole time. Mostly just making noise and fussing every so often because I was right next to their cribs (we moved them close to each other and I put a chair in the middle) I touched them as soon as they fussed and they'd start to calm right away.
I really swear by the method 1 of staying in the room, I'm glad DH said that would be better. We've experimented with leaving them to cry alone and it never worked (although 20 min is as long as I did before starting sleep sense)
I'm sooooooooooooooooo glad we did this, the girls are sleeping GREAT at night. I'm supposed to let them just cry to sleep now, however long that takes, but I still go in and touch them to settle them after 10 min just because once they fall asleep, they stay asleep all night, almost every night. The nights that they wake up now are few and far between. We are on night 17 tonight. SO pleased with this program and plan on writing a rave review to her soon.
Naps are off/on, they still only take 30 min naps, so we're still napping 3x a day. But its SO much easier then rocking them to sleep. Some days they'll fall asleep for naps in a few minutes and some days takes a little longer.
Keep me posted, I'll be thinking of you this weekend!

Thank you for this. It totally sounds like something I would do and I'm glad to know it doesn't cause problems. Thanks so much for the support!!

Nope, starting this weekend. So dreading it too... but I guess it can't be much worse than it is now, right?
Are your girls still sleeping well? Naps any better??
