Hi Ladies, I just wanted to get some opinions and maybe suggestions on DCP holiday gifting. First of all, we've only been going to this daycare since November. There's three teachers in my daughter's infant/toddler class so I was thinking of giving them each: 2 movie ticket vouchers+ 2 popcorn/soda vouchers, bag of chocolate drizzle popcorn all going into a kitshy plastic popcorn container. maybe a batch of homemade cookies too. We've been pretty happy with the place and the teachers are all very nice and they've taken good care of of DD so far, so we wanted to say 'thanks', without worrying about how much money I should be giving them. Feel free to tell me this is way too cheap-o of a gift. Part of me thinks "these people are responsible for my kid and spend more waking time with her than I do" and deserve a lot more than tix to a movie. Any ideas for making this a more substantial gift? (keeping in mind we've only been here since Nov. Also, when we left the home daycare, we gave the DCP a very generous "thank-you/end of year" gift since I knew we wouldn't get a chance to at the holidays and so I feel we've already kind of tapped out our "daycare gifting" budget)
Thanks!!
Re: Is this Holiday gift for DCP enough?
Personally I don't think that is too cheap gift, especially since each movie ticket is probably $8-$10 and yoiu are giving it to 3 teachers.
