I have no idea what to register for. I know we'll be getting a crib, stroller/car seat, but not sure which brand/model.
Other than those two and diapers, I'm not sure what else to get. I don't want to end up with lots of stuff we won't use.
Any advice? What are must-haves in your registry? Any brand/model recs?
Re: Baby Registry Items
For summer babies, Aden + Anais muslin/gauze swaddling blankets are awesome. For winter, I like the SwaddleDesigns Ultimate Swaddling Blankets.
A stretchy wrap style carrier, like a Sleepywrap, is great for newborns. If you're looking ahead, put a Beco or a mei tai style carrier on the list. There are lots of all those style carriers on etsy, but I don't know what's currently in stores with Registries, maybe Babyhawk.
Get several crib mattress pads and sheets, and layer them (pad, sheet, pad, sheet), so that you only have to strip off a layer to change sheets in the middle of the night.

I didn't have a baby registry, but if i were to do have a do-over, I'd register for this stuff
- baby carrier of your choice (I loved my Beco, hubby liked the Bjorn)
- a glider like this https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3783794
- a Boppy for breastfeeding if you plan to
- a nightlight like this https://kinderglo.com/kinderglo-store/#ecwid:category=0&mode=product&product=884759
- swaddle blankets - I still love and use our Aiden and Anais muslin ones
- board books, infant toys
- activity playmat - the brand we had was Tiny Love
- baby bathtub - ours was the fischer price whale tub
- the bumbo
- baby basics: bibs, washcloths, clothes, a nosefrida, baby nailclippers, baby thermometer, bottles if you plan to formula feed or pump breastmilk
The book baby bargins is great for sorting out what brands are best for your needs.
Thing I couldn't have lived without:
-A good LC and the number to my LLL leader (if you ar going to BF)
- a boppy
- a boucy seat
-car seat and snap and go stroller
- sound machine
- something to swaddle with!
- a sling/wrap so I could wear him
- fan in his room to reduce risk or SIDS
Things we had but hardly ever used:
Bumbo seat- he liked it and we got some use out of it
infant positioner
big plastic infant bathtub
the really nice bumper that matched the bedding
