  A friend of mine who teaches on Jewish food traditions told me that Italian Jews make ricotta pancakes on Hannukah, so that's what I'm doing tonight. I would make latkes usually, but I kind of don't want the greasy smell tonight. Which reminds me, I need to go get candles!
