Oh how dramatic!

This is a mini-vent.

My supervisor decided to go on a medical leave (stripping of tubes or somethingrather) and is off for a whole month, returning just a week before my DD!! I've already mentioned that I"m in finance and now all by myself to prep for month and year and as well as year close and audit prep work!

She's also the one who's daughter has the fifth disease and I have to be tested now and also have to pay for the high risk ultrasound b/c the insurance won't cover it all as it is not routine preventative prenatal care. But all she says is "oh it's not a big deal that is only for women in first tri, you are totally fine I wouldn't worry about it at all. All that testing is probably not needed" - Don't tell me how to feel about my baby!!! UGH

Anyway so she had her surgery this morning and is already home now. She just texted me (like I really wanted to know lol) and said

"well, I'm so glad and blessed that I came back and survived the surgery" I was just hoping that either I live or if not and god decides I need to go to the other side, it is heaven.

UHM REALLY!!

Sorry but to me this was just ridiculous LOL

  • Wow.. she sounds really selfish! I wouldn't have replied to her text. & I can't believe she told you it wasn't a big deal when she caused the initial problem by bringing her sick daughter!

  • I think she was still loopy from the drugs.  That's what it sounds like to me.  What kind of person would send a text to the person they are leaving with so much work to do so late in the pregnancy?  Also, even if there's nothing she can do about it, she could at least tell you she's sorry she brought her sick daughter in and caused this problem for you.  If you do end up with fifth disease, you should definately tell her so she can see that it is a big deal.  Wouldn't she feel bad then.

  • Yeah that's her. She's always like that. You'd think it's the drugs but that is her! And nobody is ever going through anything as bad as she does!

I just wish I had a husband who not only cleaned and cooked for you but also packed your lunch and not only that! made sure the food didn't touch as she doesn't like that. I'M NOT JOKING!

Can you say spoiled? LOL And she's 39 years old!

I just have to ignore her...
