Hi all!  We found out yesterday at our u/s that we are Team Pink!   We are thrilled, but it came as quite a surprise to us.  Yes, technically we knew it was 50/50 but we were both sure all along that it was going to be a boy.   And it was a boy in all of my baby dreams so far, except for the one crazy dream where I gave birth to a snake and was trying to figure out how to breastfeed it (from a Freudian standpoint, the snake was probably also a boy! LOL)  So much for maternal instinct.

We're going to torture our families a little (since they know we were finding out yesterday) and not tell them until Christmas day.  Baby was looking well, although a bit uncooperative (read: lazy like her daddy!) at the u/s.  No problems other than a slightly low-lying placenta, but I haven't had any bleeding from it and it's not low enough to call it previa, so it should be no big deal.

Congrats to annalisel on your bfp!   Hugs and good luck to everyone else!

  • My turn :-)

    Hi ladies...

Feels a bit weird for me to post of the PG board because it still hasn't sunk in yet that I am actually pregnant.  Although my pants are getting a wee bit snug :o)

Had my first U/S at 6 wks 5 days and all good. Baby was on track, quite amazing. Back Thursday at 8 weeks for pap etc and goin to try and convince them to do another ultrasound because I still need some extra reassurance.

Hope you are all well, I miss you guys. I lurk and chart stalk every day.

  • Hi McIrish and everyone else!  Thanks for inviting everyone over to say hello.

Really wishing I had something interesting to post though.....

All quiet here.  Getting last minute xmas shopping done.  Wouldnt be Christmas at all if I wasnt out at the last minute battling the crowds to finish my shopping.  Embarrassed

Going for our anatomy scan next week.  Excited to see baby again, but Team Green so we won't have any news to share on the gender front.

Hope everyone is well and enjoying the holiday season.  Hope the new year brings everyone here exactly what they ask for!

P.S.  Safe driving, McIrish, on your long journey to the Garden State!  Very best of luck tomorrow and I hope everything goes great!  GL!

  • Hi ladies!!  I miss you and do still check up on you over here daily.  I'm constantly rooting for all of you and can't wait until you get your BFP's!!

I am doing well for the most part.  Moving much more slowly than I'm used to.  There is no rushing for me anymore.  I have been diagnosed with gestational diabetes and am now on insulin once a day, but so far it's doing a great job.  This little girl is doing great.  She's measuring one week ahead so they are estimating her at about 4 llbs now.  Due to being put on insulin they will not let me go past 39 weeks, so in 8 weeks or less I will have this little girl in my arms and I cannot wait.  I can't believe it's so close.

Hi ladies!!! Been chart stalking and post stalking the lot of you!

As for me, I am doing pretty good now.  Was sick last week, but I think it was the combination of student and parent body odor along with the stress of the last week of school before break and getting ready for the holidays.  I am taking less insulin than I was before and my sugar levels are still pretty good, so that's good I guess.  I am hoping to have my NT scan next week, but at UIC they told me that the baby was measuring two weeks behind, but at the ER and my own OB office, they told me only one week, so I kinda have to wait and see if they can fit me in on such short notice.  I go to the MFM doc on Thursday, and maybe they'll just do the scan then.  That would be nice- I'd only have to pay the parking fee once!

Um, I guess that's about it.  DH and I can't agree on any names, which isn't surprising, and it will only get worse once we know what we're having.  I'm hoping that the a/s will be before 23 weeks.

Love and luck to all you ladies!

    Bolded part has me chuckling!

  •        Well, I'm just a LITTLE past being pregnant but I still feel and think about IF everyday- especially at holiday time.  I remember how hard the holidays always were.  I always check in to see how everyone is doing and I root for all of you!

I was 40 and 43 when I had my kids after numerous IUI's and IVF's and cancelled cycles-  DH had major MFI and I had a septum, tilted uterus, AMA and a very, very poor responder to the meds.  I was on here a long time.  I'm happy to see so many success stories responding to this post - and McIrish- I hope the new year brings you the same success!

3 IUI's and 2 IVF's later- Brady arrived. Born at 36 weeks after PUPPS and pre-e/HELLP.
IUI- BFN IVF #1 -BFP! Allie is our 2nd IVF baby. Born at 36 1/2 weeks after pre-e again

  • YAY, I've wanted to say hello so badly!  I lurk over here all the time and am your silent cheerleader...

I am in total disbelief that I am halfway through a pregnancy.  After so many years there is some part of me that didn't think it would ever happen, but our little boy is measuring perfectly.  I was blessed with no morning sickness and we have passed every AMA milestone & test with flying colors.  It was really hard to avoid being a doomsdayer in the begining so I just tried to put the pregnancy out of my mind.  We didn't share the news with family until after Thanksgiving.  Now I am so blissed out and excited it is hard to think about anything but meeting this little man!

I love you all and hope that you get the same perfect experience VERY soon!

I lurk over here every day too I must admit.

I have now made it half way through week 9. I officially had my last re visit and got a look at my wiggle worm last Monday. It is hard to believe how much it had grown in 2 weeks!

I am looking forward to ditching my progesterone after Thursday and going for my first ob and first tri screening appointment in early January. By then I will be just a regular ole pregnant girl.

I have been lucky to have no morning sickness at all, and overall I feel pretty good.

I wish everyone gets their bfp soon and has a wonderful holiday!

  • McIrish.....You made my day by posting this today!!  I needed this pick me up and I needed to read it with my own eyes on my own board to know that we're not forgotten.  Because-Heaven knows I lurk there everyday.

To all the PG after 35 ladies-miss you all and so glad that everyone is doing well.  I see your tickers everyday on your board-but it's hard to believe how quickly time goes.  Keep hoping to get BFP while I still know people on PG after 35 board-but I don't think that will be an issue, because we've sent way more people over there than I ever imagined.  God Bless all you ladies and I hope that you all have a Merry Christmas.  Hoping that many of the ladies on our board will be able to join you soon.  Lhcooper and Shyntrue both have Beta's this week (apologies is I missed anyone).

    Waiting for word from MrsJordanAlmond.

Well i cant believe im 13wks today, i must admit i have been so excited but so nervous and worring this whole time!!!  Im hoping to relax now as we had a doc appt yesterday with scan and all was great with baby soooooo relieved!!!!!

Oh my gosh! I want to say I lurk over here all the time but I have missed your great news somehow Karen.  I'm so happy for you.

I was here for over a year after a second trimester m/c and 3 IUI's and a disastrous IVF.  DE brought me these beautiful twin girls.

Anyone hear from Rach - I thought her adoption was supposed to go through this fall?

    Thinking of you all

  • Hi everyone!!  I think of y'all so much.  Things are pretty quiet right now on this front.  Waiting to have a/s next week.  Though not finding out sex of the baby, much to the dismay of many, many people.  Waiting to feel this LO start moving, but think LO is like dad and procrastinates and does everything in own good time.  Have a feeling will be on the far end of normal til feeling movement.  Anything to cause me stress.  My diabetes is under good control with 2 relatively small doses of insulin; one in the am and one at bedtime.  That's about it here.  Hope y'all have great holidays.  Can't wait to see if MJA had an arrival yet!!  Miss y'all.

  • I am soooo late in responding to this post!  If anyone remembers me, I am 25 weeks, and I can't believe that I am that far along!  We are having a GIRL!!!!  We are over the moon!  I am doing good execpt my feet and legs have been swelling constantly since week 16, the doc says it is just normal for me.  I am super short and small frame and he says all that extra fluid has to go somewhere!  geez thanks!!!  I also have increased estrogen levels which is causing a rash on my back, somedays I could just take my shirt off and flop around on the carpet to get my back scratched!!!  :)  I still lurk over here all the time and pray for each you!!  Merry Christmas!

  • I'm 6 weeks today after my 1st successful IVF. Morning sickness has set in. I also found out it's twins! But I am cautious about that bc of vanishing twin syndrome. On Tuesday I will hear the heartbeats! Just have to say for anyone in NJ, RMA was excellent! I credit the team of doctors that did my ER and ET. I've had so many friends have success with them also. Anyway I wish the best for anyone still trying and hope the BFP is around the corner for you! GL
