Would you go to a playdate at a SAHD's house alone? Like just the 2 of you and the kids? Just curious...

    If I am friends with the dad I would... Not just if our kids are in gymnastics class together.

    My dh is sahd except 2 days a week, so to look at it from the wife side - I would be ok if it is the same - we are friends with the kids mom outside of the playdate, not if it was just someone he met at the playground haha

    No- we're not really friends. It's just a dad I chat with a lot before and after pre-k. He fb'ed me his phone # for the kids to hang out but I'm not sure DH would be nuts about it.

    Ditto to this. My DH is a SAHD and I would be fine with it, in fact I tell him all the time he should meet up with you girls for playdates.

    I  might just cuz I would feel kinda bad for the SAHD.. but only if your DH and you were totally comfortable with it.

    if I knew the dad.  I would get together with Kac's husband b/c we did swim lessons together.  I think it would be hard for the dad.  N doesn't take the kids anywhere which stinks.  I wish he would take them out of the house

    I wouldn't have an issue with it at all, I guess it just comes down to what your DH says. And for the love of God don't let him read/watch Little Children. Although I highly recommend it, haha!!

    Neither does dh. Even easy stuff like kids gym at our church or story time at the library. He brings her to the gym while he lifts, but she stays in the stroller. And even that he wouldn't until she was like 9 months old. Basically the newborn days he is a shut in.

    Honestly, in your case I would only meet up at places, not each others houses. But it all depends on what ur H and his W are comfortable with. The kids aren't really old enough that their friends are their own - they are friends with your friends kids.
