Someone just dropped off a box of homemade sweets and a Christmas card on our porch.
I was putting Molly down for a nap so I couldn't get the door when I heard the knock. When she was down, I went to the door and there was a little foil box and a card on the bench on our porch.
The card was signed, "The S---- Family." I don't know anyone by the name that was on the card.
I think it's a lovely gesture and maybe they're passing them to all their neighbors? My real question is would you throw away the goodies if you didn't know who they were from? I'm leaning toward yes, but on the other hand there are some really delicious looking peppermint chocolate brownies in that box!
Re: WWYD: Anonymous gift
Um, this.
I'd be happy to take them off your hands!
I would eat them and enjoy them, our neighbors bake for us all the time.
If you are really paranoid you could always search online to find out information about the S*** family in Austin texas to confirm their address etc...
excellent, now eat without a second thought

Oh good! Enjoy those brownies! I was going to suggest not throwing them away, anyway. I mean, why pass up free chocolate?
