Not as a given name, fine as nn. I don't care for nn's as given names.

I like Lexi as a nickname (I think b/c I watch Gray's Anatomy and I like Lexi as a character... dang name associations..) but definitely not as a full name. Cute for Alexandra I think.
My DD is Alexis nn Lexi. We went back and forth when naming her. We decided that Lexi would be better as a nickname. One of my best friends is named Jenny, just Jenny, and she told me that it makes her feel like a little kid when she is applying for jobs or answering the phone in a professional setting. I think finding a formal name for professional situations is a good option.
Lexi was one of my top name choices - as a stand alone name because I didn't want to use any of the "Alex" names (my brother in law is Alex) - but due to the urging of this board it was removed from my list.
My thought was if this many people on here dislike the name then she'll probably grow up facing adversity to it - especially without a full name to fall back on.
Re: Thoughts on the name Lexi?
i like Lexi

LOL My nickname in high school was Lexx and I have a friend who to this day still calls me Sexi Lexi lol
OP, I think it's fine as a nickname but not as a full name.
My thoughts exactly
Best as a nickname, as long as it's not for Alexia, which just makes me cringe.
I don't much care for it.
