PSA: mix up which kid you hold in pictures

It started as an e-mail from my Aunt: "Hey, we got your Christmas card, thanks. You're holding DS2 just like last year. Is he your assigned picture baby? Ha!" She got me thinking. I found the 20 most recent pictures of another person and me holding the boys. I'm holding DS2 in 19 of them! 19!

Never mind that I have DS1 in my arms 99% of the time at home. No, according to all photographic evidence of the last 18 months, DS2 is my favorite and I never hold DS1 AT ALL. I'm sure they'll bring it up in therapy. 2012 project is photo pose diversification!

And for the record, here's the 1 out of 20 with me holding DS1.

    i hold Grayson much more than Gibson b/c he weighs a lot less - so DH always takes "the bigger one"... it's in pics, too.... and Grayson is totally a mommy's boy and Gibby is a daddy's boy - likely b/c that's who was holding them more as they grew (not like we never swapped but when they had to be carried somewhere, that's who we picked).... i'm OK with it. Don't let that person's comments bug you!

    Shoot, i'm the youngest of 4 and there are hardly any pics of me at all! by the time i was born my parents were tired of taking pics (tons of my siblings, though!).... and it didn't screw me up, lol.

    you have 2 kids... it's a 50/50 chance that you'll be holding the same one each year in xmas cards.

    I used to be Goldie_locks_5 but the new nest is so screwed up that I was forced to start over.

    That's a good point. :)
    There was a stretch where DH always carried Alex because he was the heavier one. Now I try to get Alex because Will is the more rambunctious one and harder to keep up with. ;)

    pretty much every pic I have DS and DH has DD.  I don't even think I could change it up! DD only has eyes for daddy when he is around. We we are usually good buddies but once he walks through the door I am gum on the bottom of her shoe!

    The pose we chose had each of us holding the same baby as last year! Hahaha.  Although most people can't tell the difference between my girls in photos anyway.

    Yeah, going by pictures, I never hold Jules, and Kit is always in my lap. Not true at all, but oh well. We actually have a family pic of the girls at 6 months where DH is holding Kit and for once I'm holding Jules. The look on Jules' face is "Oh yeah, I have mommy!" and Kit's looking over from DH's arms going "wait a second, that's MY mommy!"

    I am usually holding Lauryn in most pics because she is such a mommas girl.  Even though I try to have DH hold her since she is a little heavier.  But I never really thought it until now.
