cold & baby vapor rub?

So DS has started a cough yesterday & is sneezing some this am. I bought some vicks baby rub & used it last night. I have his humidifier cranked up & I gave him some ibuprofen bc he was cranky. Does the vicks work & how often do u use it?

    Our pedi said every night until the congestion is gone, also has us put it on the bottoms of his feet.

    Yes we like to use vicks.  On her chest and feet with socks or footie pj's.

    I was uncomfortable using the rub but I bought the Vicks Vapo pads to put in the humidifer and they worked great, one lasted two night for us and during daytime naps. Hope he feels better!

    My son had a cold when he was 3 months old and I was told by the doc it was ok to use. I put it on a tissue near the head of his crib every night until he was better.
