So I don't know what the heck is going on - but my supply has taken a nosedive over the weekend. Anyone else have this sudden onset of supply issues around 6 months?
I'm going to: start taking more milk plus (had been taking it on and off), bake some lactation cookies, drink lots more water and try pumping an extra time at work (I was only doing 2x per day, and I'll go to 3). Today has been terrible though and I've hardly gotten anything compared to my normal pumping amount. I think because we ran around a lot over the weekend and I was apart from DS so he was nursing less, it's made it worse.
Anything else you can think of? I know they say don't stress but of course I am, and it's not helping
Love any suggestions!
Re: Milk supply really tanking @6 months - help :(
Read some of the suggestions here on how to increase your protein and iron intake. But basically, like everyone else said - take better care of yourself! Rest when you can and try to eat well. Making milk is hard work! Will you have time off over the holiday where you can get some skin to skin nursing time in? That always helped my supply.
