My dad, on a yearly basis, will hound me for ideas of what to get my mother for Christmas. Usually he gives me a few weeks, or he at least has an idea that he'll run by me. Yesterday, he sprang on me that he has no clue what to get her. Granted, he has probably gotten her everything imaginable already, so really, I'm at a loss. Any unique ideas? They're not really the go someplace for the weekend to sightsee type people (though I wish they would), and my mom is definitely not one to spend time in a spa.
I'm lost! I need the creativeness of my Upstate Bumpies to guide me because he's going to call me back in a little while looking for ideas.
I think this actually stresses me out more each year than anything else
Re: Need help! I'm desperate!
Not sure what her interests are or his spending budget..
Gel Pro mat? I use the 20% off coupons at BB&B, you can get them for about $80. Everone we've gotten them for gives us great feedback, it helps your back in the kitchen!
Nice slippers? LL Bean has "wicked good slippers" for $59
Those memory foam bath mats? (I think they are pretty inexpensive)
Down jacket?
Something for the yard - like a nice bird bath or hammock
Nest Bio ~ ~ Baby Food Blog
a nice purse
nook or kindle
a pandora bracelet or charms
something from red envelope
a new robe and slippers
Telyco - No real budget.
ArcticFox - I like the idea for the gel mat. She already got slippers recently, so that's out.
Festivus - They actually got a pack of tickets to shows at Proctors from my uncle for their birthdays, so they're set with that.
I think I may go with a panini grill - one that has interchangeable plates so she can also use it like an electric griddle. She's always oohing and aahing over mine (which is just the panini grill), and how she wishes she had an electric griddle, so that may kill two birds with one stone.
I will definitely keep all those other things in mind if that falls through.
Thank you, ladies! You're the best!
Hey W, I LOVE my Cuisinart Panini/Grill. It has the interchangeable plates and they clean really easily!
Keurig?
Bread Maker - My stepmom just got one and is now obsessed with baking bread...
That's the one I'm getting for her. I will be very jealous, because I would love to have plates that come out for cleaning, etc., but I'll just have to live vicariously through her!
