Hello,
I've started my Babies R Us registry and I'm still not sure what double stroller to pick. I don't want the side-by-side stroller and there are so many choices. Same goes for the car seats. I need 2 convertible car seats but again, I'm not sure which one is the best, please help!
Re: Which stroller and car seat to put on my registry?
I used a DSNG until they were about 8 months and then we switched to the citi mini. I loved the DSNG and I now love the citi mini.
For infant car seats we used Graco snugfit and convertible we have Britax can't remember which model. I don't have any complaints on either of them.
I'm pretty similar to the pp. We used the DSNG for probably 9+ months. I highly recommend going with this stroller and then figuring out what type of stroller you really need after your babies are here. I have had a bunch of different strollers--Phil and Ted's double, a used Combi side by side, a City Mini (wish I had gotten this one earlier), and two single umbrella strollers. They are each good for different things so your stroller choice depends on what you'll use it for, which often you don't figure out for a few months.
I would recommend registering for an Ergo. I didn't get mine until DDs were about a year old but it's been fabulous and I can even use it now when my girls are almost 3 (and 26ish and 31ish lbs). I used it a lot when shopping in stores with single carts because I could put one girl on my back in the Ergo and one in the cart. I also would put one on my back and then use a single stroller, or even carry the second one. It made me feel a lot more mobile when DDs were out of their infant seats yet not quite to the point where I could trust both walking.
In terms of carseats, we had Graco Snugrides and I was very pleased with those. After that, we switched to Britax Boulevards which we found for a good price at albeebaby.com. If you register for convertibles, just remember that they are big boxes and you'll likely not use them for 6-12 months so unless you have a lot of storage space, you may want to just wait until closer to when you need them.
