When do you plan to wash the baby clothes etc?

I am feeling like it is time to start washing baby clothes and all of my son's old toys (bouncer cover, excercise mat, carseat cover etc), but I don't want to do it too soon. When do yall plan to start doing the laundry?

    I will probably wash what I plan to pack for the hospital this week, but I don't want to wash everything in case he doesn't fit into something and I need to return or exchange it after he comes.

    I started w/ newborn/0-3 mo things and items I know we will keep for sure (from parents/siblings).

    LOL. I think it's funny that you posted on the "wrong" board (which is no big deal, obv!) about feeling like you should be washing clothes... and I haven't even started yet. hm...

    FWIW I plan to do it in the coming weeks, after I'm done with work. I'm due 1/27 and I won't start till after the new year at the earliest. HTH!

     Haha.  I was probably about as far along as you are when I spent a weekend washing everything. We had a rash of preemies on the board and it spooked me.

    I've got all the 0-3m stuff washed. Everything else I'm waiting on. I've been doing it a bit at a time, I probably started doing it about a month ago.

    I started washing everything about a month ago and am still working on it. All the clothes are done but as we get things put together (bouncer, swing, pack n play, etc) I'm washing all that stuff as well.

    I have a baby shower on Jan 8th so I'm waiting until after that to wash clothes and blankets.  I'll start washing the CDs and a few other things the week between Christmas and New Years as we set up the nursery.

    Just had the shower yesterday. Everything goes in the laundry tomarrow. I am not worried about items fitting because she is likely going to fit newborn just fine. So all the next size clothes can just be stored away.

    You are not actually supposed to wash the carseat cover, just thought I'd mention that.

    even though you accidently board slipped I'll still answer :)  We're doing the washing this weekend and getting the hostpial bag togehter too.  We've kinda slacked on getting it all done...

    Why do you say that?  My car seat (peg perego) came with washing instructions in the manual.  And since I bought it second hand and there were some obvious dirty spots, you can bet I disassembled and washed it.

    I washed the NB and 0-3m stuff last weekend since I had a full load. I need to buy some more clothes and I have another shower on January 7, so I'll wait to wash the rest of the stuff until then. 

    CDs I'll wash once I have them all, which will probably be around the same time.
