How many holes does your milk come out of?

My LC said that nipples were like showerheads. But whenever I pump, I only see milk coming out of one or two holes. I am never engorged, so I don't think other holes are clogged or anything...how many holes does your milk come out of? Is this a reason why I am having supply issues?

Mine only comes out like a shower when in engorged and by a shower, I mean 4-5 holes. Most of the time it's one or 2.

What an apt description! Sometimes, mine are like a showerhead with milk spraying out of 1-2 holes at a time. I usually have milk coming out of 1-3 holes.

If I'm engorged, then it comes out of at least 6 holes. But otherwise it's 1-2 at a time. I've noticed when I hand express (I despise my pump) that it comes out of 1 or 2 at a time but the hole locations change depending on where I am pressing, KWIM?

Same thing here. When engorged, 5 holes, but mostly I've noticed it comes out of 3 normally.

I'd say 1-3 also. And all in different directions when she lets go without warning lol.
