The past two years we had been doing a book for Daddy and her to read together, and he did the same for me. This year I'm just doing one the gifts I got him from them.

Yes, We each take a kid to the store to pick out some gifts for each other. Tyler LOVES hiding the gift he picks out for DH. This year it is a pillow, I haven't taken Bri yet, but DH took her and she picked out a stocking with pancake mix for a gift got me and dinosaurs for Tyler. Tyler and I are going tomorrow morning to get something for Bri. I think it is a nice one on one thing we get to with each of the kids for the holidays, especially when you have more than one kid.

I have gotten some interesting gifts from Tyler too. For my birthday he got me a slushy maker, and for X-mas last yr he got my the ugliest giant earings!

I'm taking Justin to the Dollar Tree. I know that they'll almost be like gag gifts but he's dying to pick something out for everyone... with just parents/Grandparents/ aunt & uncles it's like 20 people. I can't chance he'll pick something expensive so I'll let him "go nuts" there.

I bought two books for him to read to Greyson. I had planned on them being from me but this post has prompted me to change that and give them from Greyson. I really like that idea.

I was planning to, but I got DH a very expensive gift this year, so it will be his only one. I'll make it from B and J (step daughter). That way he can't be too mad that I went way over our limit that we set for gifts for each other

When she gets older, I'll let her pick something out for him.

I love the idea of taking kids to pick out their own gifts, but J is too young for that. I got DH a NY Giants flag for outside and signed it from "Your Girls" and I order him a desk calendar each year of J so that's signed from her too.

kinda at the last minute

my aunt gave me back M's 1st christmas photo in the frame at t'giving and told me she needed an updated one. well the plan that weekend was an appt at penny's for our family photos and a new photo of M for everyone. M made sure that was an epic fail and i had no photo. so after that i got the idea to do the photo books for my mom & MIL. one of the pages i put together was beautiful and this past sunday i ordered that arrangement of three photos of M for my aunt (and paid for priority shipping to get in on time) i loved it so much i figured since it was the same shipping i bought two thinking i'd keep one but after i hit the order button it hit me that DH hounds me once and a while about not having current photos of M for his desk at work so the extra will be for him.

oh and i'll be giving aunt back her photo of M's 1st x-mas along with the new photo. i'll wrap them together but put the old one on top to throw her off when she unwraps it.

Yes, they both do. Charlie has lots of fun shopping for daddy- even though the gifts are usually something that HE is interested in. This year he bought him 2 of those little robot bugs (forgot the name). Paul also picked out a gift for him- a new Sabres winter hat. Thank goodness DH has no clue that Paul has been telling him about it. He goes around saying "Dada hat! Dada hat!" all the time
