I've gained 8 lbs so far, and it's really hard to hide my belly. This morning after some sexy time with DH it seemed like the entire area under my belly button was hard, like when I was further along and had orgasms. So I start googling twin symptoms and early rapid weight gain, super fatigue and increased uterine size were all listed. Then I looked up twin belly pictures and well, I could compare to some of the early pics.
I have an u/s tomorrow and I'm trying not to get too worked up about this, haha.
Re: Need to step away from Google
abbzy, that helps. This is my 3rd though, so everything's going to start earlier! My previous pregnancies were very asymptomatic, so now to have intense symptoms is so weird.
I most concerned about the weight gain I guess-- so a twin diagnosis will make me feel "better" about the weight, and a singleton--while relieving in terms of handling twins, etc-- would freak me out because why am I gaining so much without changing eating habits?!?
This is my thought word. for. word. Your body is just getting a "head start" this time around. I also have gained more than in my previous pregnancies (I usually lost a few pounds in the first tri due to nausea/vomiting). But this time despite the nausea, I am still gaining. I'm blaming it on just weaning DS from BFing
GL at your appt!!! And just to make sure you stay away from Google...
