I have heard that women typically deliver a baby similar in size to what they were, but I have no idea if this is true. I'm sure it has to do with a variety of factors!
I've heard that most babies take after their father, which is true in both me and my H's case. My brother, sister, and I were all the exact same length as our father and were within 12 oz. of each other. I have no idea what H's father was, but my H and his little brother were completely different PG's and different fathers. He was a month early and 7 lbs, and his brother was two weeks late and six pounds.
I've also heard you take the mother's and father's birth weights and average them to get an idea of what baby's weight will be around.
Either way, I highly doubt your LO will even reach seven pounds! You are lucky! I'm looking at about an 8 to 9 lb baby if I follow these theories!

My MW said babies are typically an average of what mom and dad were. My DH was 8lbs4oz, I was 10lbs4oz, sooo my vag hurts already just thinking about it.

I honestly have no clue, but I'm expecting a larger baby either way I look at it. My older brother was just shy of 9lbs, and DH and I were both exactly 9lbs 3oz. So if I try to judge by either how big my mothers' babies were, by how big I was, or by how big DH was, I can still expect a 9lb baby. Strange enough though, my doctor is insisting that I'm going to have a normal 7lber because I'm measuring right on track and don't have GD. Unless he's premature, we aren't having a small baby, but it's up in the air if he's going to be normal or big.
I honestly don't think it really factors in much. I was just under 8 pounds, my husband was just over 8 pounds, I had a 6 1/2 pound baby last time and am not really expecting a big baby this time. My sister was also just over 7 pounds, her husband was a month early and obviously small (I don't know his birth weight). They have 4 kids. The first 2 were right around 6 1/2 pounds, the second 2 were just over 8 and 8 1/2 pounds.

It didn't play a factor with me. I was 4 weeks early at 6 lbs 1 oz and DH was right on time at 11 lbs 5 oz!! My first boy was 8 lbs exactly and my second was actually smaller at 7 lbs 2 oz. Doc thinks this baby will be a 9 pounder but I am thinking he will be in the low 8's.
