How to say thank you for such a big gift?

I'm a nanny and I've been babysitting even more on the side for 5 different families when I have extra time. One of the families I've babysat for, for about 2 years and Love them! Friday night after the parents came home, we always talk for about an hour or so just about life or whatever is going on...

I told them that in the next couple months I may be more availiable to take care of the kids to raise money for our inferility issues since everything is OOP. Needless to say the dad and mom ended up signing over a $2,200 check!

This is a huge gift to give us a whole month of IUI cycle.  I'm not sure how to say thank you enough to them. They really wouldn't take no for an answer and I called the next day and they both said they want the best for DH and I and want us to have a good shot without the extra stress of money. They said that God put me in their life to be able to go out and have fun without their kids so they want to help God put a baby with us.

How would you say thank you?

TTC since November 08 IUI #1-BFN March 1, 2012 Saving Break will try IUI #2 in August 1/2012-S/A wash-count low 3 million 12/30/11 Luminarium(seaweed) stuck in cervix was suppose to "naturally" open it. Surgery for retrival. 12/7/11 Met with Dr. Dougherty new RE-more testing 2/11 Decided to take a year off to save for a new RE 1/11 Cycle day 4 a/s 15mm cyst left Ovary 1 follicle left over no meds this month. 12/10 Cycle Clomid-O'd Progestrone Dostinex =BFN 11/10 HSG-ALL CLEAR & S/A-Adequate 10/10 Cycle- Progestrone and Clomid-O'd=bfn 11/09 lap-removed a lot of scar tissue/endo =not so much cramps during AF ;) 2006 Appendectomy-cyst burst on right ovary =scar tissue 2005 abnormal cells-biopsy and cells removed=scar tissue

    I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling overwhelmed besides my DH and I. Gives me tingles just thinking about it. Haven't deposited the check into the baby making account but will do it tomorrow then it will feel very real.

    Truly amazing. I am not sure what would be a great "thanks" other than helping to ensure that you pay it forward when able, and help with their family; as in caring for the kids. I don't think they are really looking for a physical gift in return, other than your and your DH's happiness. Sounds like God put a really good pair of friends in your lives. God bless you both.

    Testing - Me ok, gluten issue? DH - borderline count, low motility
    4/28/11 IUI#1 = BFP!(5/25), EDD 2/2/12 - m/c 5w3d
    7/3, 7/31, 9/25 - IUI#2-4=BFN
    IVF#1 - 1 blast = BFP!! (12/30), EDD 9/9/12, confirmed c/p 4w2d
    FET#1 3/2/12 - 2 blasts =BFP!! EDD 11/18/12, us#1 = twins! Confirmed m/c 5w6d
    4/20-surprise BFP and another c/p 4w2d
    FET#2 7/16/12 - 2 blasts = BFN
    FET#3 8/20/12 - 1 blast - BFP!! Beta #1-2=177, 354
    1st u/s 5w6d, one beautiful little HB :), 2nd u/s 146bpm
    baby girl born 5/10/13

    TTC#2 since 12/17/2014, Cycle 8
    Repeat Testing...FSH=12, AMH=3.8, AFC=28. 
    IUI#5 5/10/15- c/p?
    IVF#2 8/19/15 - cancelled due to cysts
    IVF#2 take two 10/2015 - 5 blasts frozen
    FET#4 12/11/2015 - BFN - 4 blasts remaining
    FET#5 2/18/16 - BFP!!!  Beta1-3, 126, 250, 745!!

    That is such a wonderful thing that they did!!! I have no idea how to thank them for that. Maybe pay it forward so to speak? Not as much monetarily, but maybe do something nice for someone else in need...just my 2 cents Smile

    This happened to my husband and I as well over Thanksgiving Break. We have been pinching every penny we could to save for our upcoming IVF cycle in Jan/Feb. We saved around 4k (needed 15k) and my in-laws were in town for Thanksgiving Break. My father-in-law comes out and hands DH a check for $15k...what an incredible gift. The whole process just got a little less stressful.
    TTC since August 2010 IVF with ICSI! Jan/Feb 2012 Egg Retrieval on 2/14, 15 eggs retrieved with only 7 mature and 3 fertilized (2) Embryo Transfer on 2/10 with 8 cell, grade 1 and 8 cell grade 2 Beta on 2/21- 6 (yes, only a 6) 2nd Beta on 2/23-

    The stress of pinching every single penny and me and DH working over 70 hours a week to save. With this gift we are incrediably blessed to have them in our lives, I will definately be doing a thank you card and will pay it forward to their family as much as I am able to do. I feel like if we would "get them" anything that we would kind of be using their money to buy them something so I will try and figure out what a nice thing to do for them or with them like dinner might be.
