Treatment of scar

Hey mamas,

I was wondering if any of you c section veterans have used anything on your scar to help deminish the lovely look of it. Any suggestions??  And how soon can I start applying it?

    Keep it moisturized (vitamin e, mederma, vaseline, doesn't matter, all the same).  The only over the counter stuff that has been proven to work is silicone strips, you can get them on amazon.  Silicone gel works too to a lesser extent.  Anything other than silicone is just a moisturizer.  Massage is great too!

    I just keep it moisturized mainly w/ my normal body lotion. It does get smaller and less raised as time goes on.
