What kinds of things are y'all doing for lunch? I feel like we just keep doing the same old same old. I attempted a quesadilla the other day and that was a fail- he couldn't figure out how to get through pieces that thick.
We do grilled cheese, pieces of ham or turkey, leftovers, pb&j sandwiches, and rotisserie chicken. She usually eats cottage cheese or yogurt with it. She's also really been into peaches, mandarin oranges, pears, and pineapple fruit cups in juice.
At DC he has a jar of stage 3 baby food for lunch. At home, I'll give him some finger foods if he's interested. His favorites right now are hard boiled egg yolk, pieces of mozz. string cheese, avocado chunks, and kiwi.

When/how did you introduce peanut butter? I've been thinking that we should go ahead and give it a go, since there have been no food allergies and no family history. Peanut allergies in general scare the frack outta me, but good peanut butter is so healthy for him!

We did it by accident at a restaurant. We gave her some sweet potato souffle that had hidden peanuts in it.
I did a lot of research and introduced everything (except honey) early. How I did it was I first rubbed some of the food on her skin. If they're really allergic there will be a reaction. Then I'll give her a taste, like one bite of a strawberry or one lick of peanut butter. Then I'll wait 48 hours. If there's still no reaction, then I'll go for it.
I was really nervous for strawberries, egg whites, and peanuts. I just made sure I introduced them in the morning and I was going to be around all day to keep an eye on her.
Pasta with chicken sausage, cheese ravioli, grilled cheese, pieces of deli ham or turkey with cheese and crackers, macaroni and cheese, chicken with rice and cheese, and a fruit (usually pieces of banana or apple) or steamed veggie.
Thanks Mom2Eloise! I didn't even think of trying it on the skin!
Ditto, Thanks for that tip.
We do chicken, cheese, crackers, scrambled eggs, pasta, broccoli, meatballs, tomato sauce or alfredo (she loves pasta with sauce), potatoes Usually whatever I'm eating cut up into teeny pieces.
