I have no idea what I want/need. I mean, I have some ideas of stuff that I would like but they are way too much money (I have expensive taste).
Give me some ideas or my husband is just going to get me crap I don't want.

My DH is getting me a tattoo and I also asked for
A solia flat iron, Sephora gift card, Kindle gift card, the urban decay naked palate, a set of nailpolish I love, and a few other things I can't remember. I tried to really ask for things that were for me this year. I always end up getting stuff for the kids and there isn't much for Jack at Sephora.
Can't really help you there, all I asked for for Christmas was a house (we rent at the moment). We're not getting each other anything in order to save our money for our down payment.
I like the idea of taking a day off together, that would be pretty awesome right now with all the crazy hours and weekends that he's been working.

My big gift is being delivered on Wed, a new couch. I also asked for a new hair dryer and the Tina Fey book.
You say you have expensive taste, not sure what your budget is but DH bought me these pearl earrings from Tiffany's last year. They are $150.

DH is giving me Tory Burch sunglasses. I picked them out in NYC this weekend. That's really all I asked for.
Well that's what I would really enjoy...however, we now have a child and are working on the second so I don't think that's the best use of our $ anymore.
From DH I asked for a DSLR - Canon T2i and a lens to go with it. My birthday is also in December so it was a combined gift, which I already got on my birthday.
From my parents, ILs and BIL I just made an Amazon wish list to let them pick but here's some of what's on it:
-Hat and Scarf
-Gel floor mat for in front of the stove in the kitchen
-Rainboots
-This Camera bag because they are awesome and double as your purse.
- Nonstick omlette pan and a small sauce pan
- Auxilary Flash for my camera, Memory cards, and Adobe Photoshop Elements
- 5-6 Movies - Megamind, Tangled, Sabrina, Noting Hill and The Game of Thrones series, and the Charlie Brown Holiday specials DVD collection
- A couple board games - Apples to Apples and Clue
I dont expect anyone to get me all of that stuff but it gives them a variety to pick from of stuff I know I would like to get at some point.

And furniture, my parents are moving out, they bought a house, but that will leave my walls bare, my dinning room and living room empty, and three empty bedrooms upstairs.
Haha!! I also wondered if there was more than one type of "strap on" after reading that....
All i wanted was "spiral curler" curling iron and some new running shoes. However i got impatient and bought the curler on my own, and yesterday we went ahead and got me some Nike shox and some nike sandals with cushy soles!
He got me a few other "surprise" items (a mug with mine and LO's pic on it, a "shake n' take" blender, k-cup holder), he isn't good at keeping surprises so he already told me what everything was, hahaha!

DH was going to get me a Kindle Fire until I was saying that I would want to wait until the 2nd or 3rd gen of it so they work out the bugs, lol!
I asked for a new slow cooker, new radio for the bedroom, matching jewelry sets (cheapies from Target, Walmart, etc).
If I had thought more, i would have asked for a new microwave because ours barely works.
I've asked for some kick booty eye cream instead.
I asked for Seasons 4 & 5 of Friday Night Lights and Ken Burns Prohibition.
I also asked for a lens for my camera (all I have is my kit lens).
I got him a watch, because I'm a bad@ss bargain shopper.
