Anyone broke bed sharing?

Hi! Has anyone successfully broke bed sharing with LO? We started a BAD habit while on vacation 2 months ago, now he HATES his crib. I tried letting him CIO and I just can't do it, we did 4 nights and every night seemed to get worse. Has anyone had any success?? Suggestions PLEASE! Thanks!! :)

    hope to see some responses, This exact thing happened to us at 4 months. She's now 7 months and I can't figure out how to get her in her crib without doing CIO. CIO is just not for me as well. Let me know what ends up working for you ..please=)

    My worry now is that she is becoming mobile....and when she wakes she's ready to roll around and scoot .....which means she could easily fall off the bed one day =-I

    Also I thought about buying one of those soothing sounds stuffed animals to see if that would help her maybe fall asleep on her own. BTW, we're still nursing to bed are you?

    when DS was sick we had him in with us he had huge fuss trying to get put back in own room and the crying was not getting any better, so i set up porta cot next to bed and slept him in that and have been slowely moving it further away from the bed, soon I think he will be fine to return to his crib he has no problems having his naps in it.
