My company outsources some of their HR functions like leave..... so I was told that they won't do my paperwork until 1 month before my due date. It's a little over a month away so I called this morning, just to see if I could get it started and what I found out was that since I am not doing FMLA leave (only worked there 6 months), they won't do my paperwork until January 16th. "What if baby comes early?" "Oh just call us within 3 days of the incident."
OMG. So apparently, going on maternity leave is no big deal over there and I'm sure I will have nothing better to do than to call them when I am within 3 days of having my baby to sit on the phone and get paperwork done. Fun.
