Anyone use a Peapod for travel bed?

Posted something similar on Nurseries and Gear, but I'm wondering if any of you have a peapod travel bed for your LO? Do you like it? Do you recommend the Peapod lite (with no mattress, would have to use blanket or some type of pad) or the regular (which has an inflatable mattress)?  TIA!

Re: Anyone use a Peapod for travel bed?

  • We just got one and are planning on using it over Christmas.  We have the green one with the inflatable mattress, which seems pretty thin, but I guess babies are supposed to sleep on a fairly hard surface.  It it really big, so hopefully it will last a while.  It folds really small, so it would be good for airplane travel too!  I can update next week after we use it if you want.

  • I've been using mine since Thanksgiving.  We didn't have room for a pack and play in our house so this was a great alternative for when we travel.  I would recommend with the air mattress.  I do think she gets a little cold in at night because it's on the floor and air mattresses don't tend to trap in the heat so the one without the mattress would be colder I would imagine.

I think it's a good investment and can't wait to take it to the beach as well!

  • We've only used it for actual camping. We put or baby in the pod that we put in our tent, between us.
