Was anyone else scared to take a pregnancy test? This sounds really dumb, since I already have 2 kids, but I am avoiding taking one right now.
Here is the situation: We have a 2.5 year old and a 6 month old. Apparently the protection we are using isn't the best, as I had a miscarriage in between the two boys and we weren't trying. Now I am several days late, but do not want to take a test. We were going to wait until our youngest was 3 years old before we tried again. I will be thrilled, maybe a little stressed, but am scared to find out. Then I am also scared that since we didn't plan it, like the other one, that it will end in miscarriage.
But I am trying to talk myself into the idea that I have just been really stressed lately (and I have, we just found out our dog (our first baby) has cancer, plus the in laws were in town) and that my cycle is all messed up. I am not regular anyway, but this is the longest I have gone since before I had my first child. But still only a couple days late. I am scheduled to get my hair highlighted on Friday, but will not go if I am pregnant, so I guess I will have to test before then???

Might help a little:

what protection were you using that wasn't the best? Did you just "sometimes" use condoms or was it the pull and pray method?
Honestly, I would just take the test, But then you said your cycles weren't always regular and it sounds like you are under some stress. It could just be that. Before this pregnancy, my cycles were usually always regular but those times when I would be stressed out of my mind, my period would be 1-2 weeks late.
Just test.
And I colored my hair after my + test, it's not the end of the world, its okay in well-ventilated areas.
Thanks girls. You are all right and I just need to do it. I know that whatever is meant to happen will.
Yes, the pull out and pray method is the one we used. Not anymore!!!!
POAS. if it's BFN, get on BC.
and for chrissake, you can highlight your hair either way.
Ummmm....DH and I did the pull and pray...and I am now almost 29 weeks..
