What's everyone doing for NYE? DH is working, so unless he gets a trip to either Paris or Buenos Aires, I'm staying home and ringing in the new year with my baby girl.
Last year we hosted a New Years Eve party in our neighborhood. It was a lot of fun, but exhausting and the next day was spent cleaning up the mess. I told dh that I might just want to skip it this year and hang out at home, alone, but if some of our friends start inquiring about a party, we'll probably host something again.
once kids came...we started doing slumber parties for NYE! This year we are hosting and everyone will come here (3 other couples with kids) we have dinner, play wii, the kids will bounce until they wear themselves out and then all the kids go to bed...and the parents stay up, drink, and play games. Then we have breakfast in the am and eveyone goes home! It's a lot of fun and no one has to drive!

We used to do this in Woodstock too. But our friends who used to come have found it harder as the kids have gotten older. Last year, it was just Nico and I at home and the next morning they came over for brunch.
We are going to dinner and then to see the Zac Brown Band show at Philips. Azlyn will be partying it up with the babysitter.
We saw them last year on NYE and they were fabulous. I'm not usually a fan of such big venues, but they really put on a great show. Enjoy!
This year I think we'll just do dinner out and an early night at home, it's no fun when I can't ring in the new year with a drink.
Yeah.. I am not crazy about the big venue either. I went and saw them several years ago (pre-DH) on NYE at the BIltmore. Philips Arena will be very different. But, we have pit tickets, so that should be fun, and give us more of that "quaint" feeling. And I am super excited about the openers, especially Blackberry Smoke.
And lindzed, have fun at East Andrews... "Breakfast Club" is a fun cover band.
