Bumper free crib bedding

Has anyone found good sites for bumper free crib bedding? I am having a really hard time choosing what to do for our nursery

Therefore, I am turning to bedding to give me ideas. I thought it would make sense to look at bumper free bedding to give some ideas, hopefully. TIA

I always make the quilts and sheets for my lo's and then go from there. I've found going to a fabric store is the best inspiration ever.

I'm going to buy bedding with bumpers and not use them. Or, I've toyed with using them as a wall border.

I have not found any good sites for bumper free bedding but I have found that many "bedding sets" have an option with no bumpers and we went with one of those. To be honest we never used the "quilt" for DD and I plan on using comfy blankets instead of a quilt when baby is old enough. The set we picked out has 2 fitted sheets, a diaper stacker, and a bed skirt.

Carousel Bedding has "A La Carte" bedding where you can buy all of the designs seperatly or as bedding sets. They have tons of stuff including matching changing pad covers, lamp shades, drapes, etc.

They can be a bit pricey, but the stuff is adorable and they have tons of great patterns.

You can also just buy a traditional set and google 'what to do with crib bumpers' and find a lot of cute ideas for alternative uses.

I would just pick out some sheets you like, and stick to artwork or other things for decor inspiration.

I agree with this.

However, some people like the crib skirt that comes with the bedding sets and like the quilt to use either on the floor as a play mat, or later on when they transition to a toddler bed.

The set I was looking at on Pottery Barn Kids doesn't include a bumper, but they offer it separately if you want it. But, like PPs said, if you get a set with a bumper, you could use it for something else

Since both the bumper and comforter are no-nos. And since many cribs make it so very little crib skirt shows, I'm just getting super cute sheets.

Otherwise you can make a valence out of the bumper and hang the comforter on the wall with a quilt shelf.

Just a thought for all of you who don't want a quilt I think it's a nice keep sake for the baby. Plus I know ds 1 was in his crib as a toddler bed until he was three so we used his comforter a lot even now ds 2 at over a year old uses his comforter. The bedding isn't really just for the first 12 months.
