Just curious!
I am blanking on what to do about book storage/shelving. And I know I want some art up but I just can't seem to decide on what! I feel like those things will happen after baby is here. Aside from that, I think we're largely done. Just have to:
- wash clothes and bedding
- mount video monitor
- get different curtains
Re: Nurseries - is everyone done/almost done/not even close?
Haven't even started. True story. Well, aside from getting the things that we need (although the dresser is still at my parents, 1 1/2 hours away).
This is our second and I can say I am a LOTTTTTT more lax this time around. I think my daughter's nursery was completed by 30 weeks...now I'm 35 and haven't even assembled the crib, let alone moved the office furniture out to make room for baby furniture.

We are done.
However there is one blank wall above the dresser/change table where lo's newborn pics will eventually hang. I have the frames picked out, just have to wait for the pictures!

We are done and have been for a few weeks. I'm due in early Jan and Hope to go between Christmas and New Years so I needed to finish early.
Right now I'm just waiting for our little man to arrive.

We haven't even started. We knew we wouldn't be able to set it up until the week between Christmas and New Year. My in-laws were supposed to come for an early Christmas last weekend, and would have been sleeping in LO's room on the double bed, but due to Hubby working 14 hr nights and FIL being in the hosptial that didn't happen.
We have the crib, it's sitting in the box in the front hall. The dresser we're going to use as a changing table is in the garage. We still need the crib mattress, bedding, and artwork for the walls. I'm still undecided if I want to get different curtians.
I also need to make the window valance. Instead of putting LO's name up on the wall I'm making natucial alphabet flags in LO's name and will hang them as the window valance.
I have a lot to do but thankfully I'm not due until late Jan so I still have time. If LO was to come now we'd be able to get by. We do have the bassinet, diapers, clothes (although they need to be washed) and a few other essentials.
No where near done....We bought our house a year ago and didn't touch the room that's going to be the nursery because we weren't sure we were even going to be able to have a baby. So it's been an office until recently.
DH had to sand the walls (the previous owners did a horrible job painting - huge drips had dried everywhere as well as holes). Then he had to plaster and sand again. Next he has to prime, then paint the ceiling and walls. Then replace the doors, baseboards and radiators.
So for anyone who feels bad because the room isn't done yet...just think of me! LOL!
We just need to hang his name up, pick out curtains, and vaccum one more time. Then alll we need is our son to complete it!
We have a full size bed in there too so that will need bedding, cushions etc to match the baby's theme
If he showed up now we'd be ok, but it's not finished by any means.
We don't have any of the bath stuff, pump or anything like that ..poor kid lol
Our only urgent buy if he shows up early is the travel system..waiting till the last minute for that one since it has a 3 year warranty on it. Worst come to worst hubby will be going to buy it while I am in the hospital.
I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who's not done! From looking at all the nursery progress pics I felt like I was way behind. This was a total nesting week for me. I got all of the old office stuff out of her room last weekend, all of her bedding and clothes, blankets, towels, bibs, hats, washcloths, etc are washed and ready to go. I have all the clothes sorted and put away. I cleared out space in the hall bath for her baby bath and all of the soaps/lotions we got at our showers. My husband built the crib and the storage cubes, one for the room, one for the closet.
A few things still to do, finish our online labor/childbirth education, install carseat, pack hospital bag, buy carseat cover & hamper, order pump. I plan to get that all done this week so we can enjoy the long weekend for Christmas and just relax waiting for her big debut. Maybe I should stop reading the boards and go get at least one more thing off my list?
Ditto. My girls share a room. That room will be the baby's room, and they will move into the larger room, which is now a playroom. We haven't even moved the girls stuff out yet! I have pretty much all of the elements I need, I just need to get it all assembled, lol. Much more lax with #3!
Cambria, Keira, and Bonnie Quinn
We are mostly done. We still want to get a book case, but that will probably have to wait awhile. Also we need to do some more laundry and a little more organizing, but for the most part it is done.
My little goofball born 1/2012
We just put up the crib this weekend and took the mattress out of it's packaging to air out.
Everything's been washed.
Tonight/ this week sometime...we'll hang some of the artwork and put down the rug.
Still need to buy a dresser/ changing top from IKEA, curtains + rods, and decide on a glider.
I'm hoping to get some good after-Christmas deals!
We just painted this weekend so we'll assemble the crib this week and get some of the smaller stuff arranged. We're reusing some short bookcases but still need to purchase the dresser. I haven't found a rug or a glider that I'm crazy about yet so I'm waiting for those. I guess we still have a quite a bit to do, but we'll have all the necessities done this week if baby comes early.
