5:45 am on a Tuesday morning, the 4th day after DD's EDD. I was sleeping and felt a pop in my sleep and somehow had some instinct to run to the toilet. I got to the toilet just in time for the rush of water to splash in. But my efforts were spoiled when less than 10 mns later I had another contraction and water splashed all over the floor. I didn't know that your water didn't just break ONE TIME.
So let that be a fair warning to you!! Cleaning up amniotic fluid from your floors while you start labor and want to go to the hospital is not fun! Especially b/c I didn't feel okay asking my mom to come over and clean it up so I could go have a baby! LOL.
I was 35w5d at about 2:45am. I thought I was peeing the bed. It was lots. I ran to the bathroom with a long puddle trail behind me,. My contractions were intense about 10 mins later. I was due christmas day and had him Nov 26, 06

I was asleep and heard a tiny pop then felt the gush. Good thing for the waterproof crib mattress pad I put down a few weeks earlier!
(No contractions or signs labor was coming before water broke, no contractions after until I got to the hospital and they eventually started pitocin. They said I was having them, but I didn't feel any until then.)
i had an OB break it both times (I was around 5-6cm. and having contractions) It was mid afternoon and I had them both in between 5 & 6. I am curious if it will actually break on its own this time!

It started leaking at noon. Then I went to my doc appointment and got sent over to be induced at 5pm and a couple hours later had the gush. I had him at 2:15a.m. the next morning at 37 weeks 5 days.
Mine broke after about 25 hours of labour (it was a request of mine that they not break my water but that it break naturally) but it was a really really slow leak because her head was obviously plugging everything up. The gush happened when it fully broke while I was pushing about 3 hours later.

After I was in labor for 30 hours and I was in the car on my way to the hospital. I was leaking fluid when I got there and they confirmed I was 5 cm dilated and my water had broken.
Water broke spontaneously at 38w6d at 6:30pm after a long day of cleaning the house and baking cookies with friends. Contractions started 2 hours later and DS was born at 7:45am, after 25 mins of pushing.

With #1 I noticed a bit of extra moisture and thought I might have a slow leak on my due date in the evening. I went into l&d to see if it was amniotic fluid and it was. dd1 was born at noon the next day.
#2 my water didn't break on its own. I had an induction at 42 weeks and the doc broke my water.
woke up at 5:20 am at 39 weeks to go to the bathroom. before I sat up it felt like when you get your period at night, leaking kind of. I stood up and as I got to the hallway everything just GUSHED out. It was a steady flow of smaller gushes the rest of the day. I went in to be monitored at 8 am, wasn't contracting so they told me to go home and come back at 6 pm to get induced if contractions didnt start on their own. By 3 pm I called and said we were going in, contractions were rough. Epidural was in by about 5 pm, pushing by 11 pm? needed vacuum extraction by 3 am, and DS was born at 4:01 am. haha I just wrote my birth story instead of just answering your question!
I hope my water breaks again this time so I know that the baby will be here within 24 hours!
Water didn't break til the very very end when I had to start pushing. I labored for like 16 hours at home first from 8:00 a.m. til I got to the hospital at 12 midnight, labored some more, water broke and baby was born at 4:30 am.
