IUI 14 days ago...

I had my IUI 14 days ago today. I purchased a HPT to take tomorrow morning but I couldn't wait and I took one a few minutes ago. It came back negative.

What are the chances that it was negative because I didn't take it first thing in the morning. And is 14 days post IUI still to early to test?? Last month with my IUI I didn't even have a chance to take a test because I got AF

I know it's probably false hope and wishful thinking that tomorrow I am going to wake up with a possitive but I am just curious.

It is possible your urine wasn't concentrated enough, but 14DPiui would (for the most part I'd think) give a pretty accurate result. However, you aren't out until your period shows.

Of course there is that chance. Had you held your pee for three to four hours before testing and limited drinking? If not the chance is stronger. But no, 14dpo is not too early to test. It's the right time to test. Most REs tell you to test at 14dpo. Good luck for better results tomorrow morning.

no, i didn't wait 4 hours. and it was right after lunch. it was my fault, because I couldn't wait until tomorrow morning!

I will try again tomorrow morning, I won't keep my hopes up to high, already heart broken.

On average HPT results at 14 dpiui should be pretty accurate, but who knows, maybe because you didn't use first morning urine, there may still be a chance that you could get a positive result. You're not out until AF shows. Good Luck!!
