medela freestyle

I made the mistake of buying a $70 breast pump, & I hate it. I'm thinking about getting the medela freestyle for when I go back to work. Does anyone have this? Do you like it? What are the pros/cons? Is it worth the price? (I also have a $100 voucher for a medela pump from the hospital) Thanks in advance :)

Re: medela freestyle

  • I loved my Freestyle. I didn't try any others, so I can't compare, but I liked that it was lightweight and very portable for going to and from work. I could put it in my laptop bag without having to bring along a special pump bag.

  • For me the freestyle had a few extra features that the PISA didn't. They included a stronger battery, not attached to the bag, back lit screen, etc. I think the suction power is technically the same though. It has worked great for me for 4 months so far. I even pump while driving to/from work to get an extra session in.

  • I love mine!!  I've used it for over a year now with no issues.

  • I love mine, but I have not tried any others. I got mine at BRU when they were having a sale that included getting some accessories free (nursing pads, a bottle, storage bags etc). With coupons and gift certificates I did not pay a cent.

  • I love my Freestyle- I haven't tried anything else. I have to pump every day at work and it's been working out well for me. I do replace the membranes every 3 months, as I've noticed my output decreases if I use the same membranes for too long. Also, customer service is great!

Do they sell just membranes and, if so, where? I've only seen the spare parts which includes everything
