If you're on FB, you probably saw that at my last appt 2wks ago, baby was breech. Today the doc said she thinks baby is head down-but we will confirm it at my next appt (2 more wks) with an U/S.
I also told her about my itching....it has gotten really, really bad. To the point I've woken up once an hour to scratch. I've tried everything-at least 4 moisturizers, steroid creams, antihistamines, oatmeal baths...no relief at all. I'm covered in bruises from scratching myself so much. She said its definitely not PUPPS and sent me for bloodwork today to check out my liver. She said if it comes back normal, it's not pregnancy related. I should hopefully hear from them early next week on the results....hopefully its not a huge deal.
Re: Update-itchy skin, 34wks
I had the same type of thing happen, but after I had both babies. I was head to toe itchy/hives. I tried all of the home remedies and nothing worked. The only thing that semi worked was benadryll. The moment I stopped BF with both boys, the hives/itching went away. The OB could not explain it and told me that it was def. not related to nursing, but it seemed to be more than a coincidence that it stopped as soon as I stopped BF. I assuming that it was hormone related.
Itching is the worst, especially during the night. I really hope that it gets better for you.
Boo I was hoping that they had an idea for you. I know I was really itchy w Charlotte but I really think it was just the hormonal changes and how my body rreacts to it, because it happened again at my first PP period and had flared up (more mildly) this pregnancy.
Hopefully if it is a hormonal thing you don't deal with it thru nursing too! I hope it just does away when you deliver.
