Excruciating abdominal pain and ER

I woke up @ 6:30 this morning because of excruciating abdominal pain. it was all over the stomach, was not able to pin point the exact location. I have never experienced anything like that: HORRIBLE pain. My husband took me to ER and I spent 3 hrs there (the pain went away in approx 40 mins): they took my urine and blood samples for infection and did ultrasound: both regular and trans-vaginal. Didn't have any bleeding, BTW. They wanted to check all the organs. The Dr said they found 2 small ovarian cysts on the right ovary and not sure about appendix. No traces of infection. he said might be the beginning of appendicitis and d/c me home but warned to watch the symptoms closely. He said if it is appendicitis, I will be checking back in within 24 hrs since I will develop the pain and other symptoms again. He was not sure if the cyst might be causing that. he also ordered a follow-up appt with my PCP within 7-10 days for another ultrasound. HCG was 6094 and he said the baby is where it is supposed to be but cannot give me more info since I am barely 5 wks pregnant.

Any opinions on that? I stayed home today and just mortified it might be the appendicitis and I will have to be operated on.
