Ok so heres the whole story. I was BFing in the hospital but once me and DD got home she wouldnt latch on. So I stated to EP and it was going ok... but one night when I stayed the night at my MIL house I got super behind on pumping and pretty much cant even make 1/32 of a ounce. Im trying to increase my milk flow and Im taking a million vitamins and tea such as Fenugreek and Lactation Blend, More Milk Plus (drops and pills), and Organice Milkmaid Tea.... What else can I do? People say pump every hour but the fact that Im alone 18 hours a day with LO is pretty much near impossible... Im lucky enough to get 1 pumping a day...

Re: EP and Milk Flow
Are you BF'ing at all or using formula? If you want to EP you have to pump at least every 3 hrs in the beginning to establish your supply. I also was alone with LO basically every day and most evenings since Dh works long hours and is on call.
Buy a hands free bra and get to pumping. A good pump is the key. I rent a medela symphony. I would sit on the floor in the begining and have the baby next to me with the boppy pillow or in the bouncy chair.
Drink plenty of water each day and pump every 3-4 hours for at least 20 mins. If you can not do this, then formula it is. Breast is best, but formula is not poison.
Good luck!
I have the madela (idk what kind) and when I do pump I usually pump on each breast 10 to 15 minutes. I have to nursing tank tops that I wear all the time lolz
If you want to EP, this is what my schedule looked like. I am alone with DD from 8am-6pm, sometimes later. You have to make time for the pumping sessions if you want EP to work for you. I've been told that it is better to pump both sides at once, so you may want to consider investing in a hands-free bra.
I have a Medela Pump in Style Advanced and wear a hands-free nursing bra. So each session is me pumping both breasts at the same time.
I posted this response to another question the other day. This is my EP schedule:
For the first 6-8 weeks, I pumped every 2.5-3 hours around the clock for about 10-15 minutes each session total (at least 8 sessions per 24 hour period). Since my DD was getting up about that much at night, DH would feed her the bottle and I would pump. Once she started sleeping longer stretches, I would set the alarm on my cell phone to get me up for the next session.
Around 7-8 weeks, I started pumping every 3-4 hours (at least 7 sessions per 24 hour period). Sessions are about 10-15 minutes long.
Around 8-9 weeks, I cut back to pumping every 4-5 hours (at least 6 sessions per 24 hour period). Sessions are about 15-20 minutes long.
Around 9-10 weeks, I started pumping 5 times per day. Usually every 4 hours during the day, then once in the middle of the night. Sessions are about 20 minutes long.
I found out around 1 month that if I pump longer than 10 minutes, I get a second and sometimes a 3rd letdown.
